"The Main Committee for the anniversary started the planning of the events last spring. Two sub committees were established: An Academic Committee and a Business Committee.

The Academic Committee is lead by Vice Rector Mette Bjørndal. Their responsibility is to coordinate all relevant academic activity during the anniversary year.

The Business Committee has a more outward looking role. We wish to use the anniversary to strengthen our ties to the business sector and to strengthen the institution as a whole," Rector Jan I. Haaland explains.

Committee members:

Idar Kreutzer, CEO, Storebrand (Chair)
Elisabeth Berge, Secretary General, Ministry of Petroleum and Energy
Helge Lund, CEO, Statoil
Erik Mamelund, Country Managing Partner, Ernst & Young
Katrine Trovik, Division Director, DnB NOR
Jens Ulltveit-Moe, President and CEO, UMOE
Victor D. Norman, Professor , NHH (Internal Coordinator)

To ensure necessary follow-up, an internal subcommittee has been appointed. The members are Professors Victor D. Norman, Mette Bjørndal and Trond Bjørnenak and Associate Professor Inger Stensaker.

"The members of The Business Committee wish to use anniversary celebration to look forward and strengthen NHH's national and international standing in a long term perspective. It is important that someone sees us from the outside, and that we work closely with the business world and other parts of society to find good ways forward. This is a committee that is interested in NHH's further development," says Jan I Haaland.

The following is stated in the documents from the NHH Board meeting in December 2009: The Business Committee will primarily have an advisory function in the very important task of strengthening NHH's external relations. This might for instance include the development of new agreements with corporations, establishing new forms of cooperation, fundraising, establishing a possible anniversary fund and more.
